AGENDA ITEM:Consideration of approval of a resolution approving Agreement for
Professional Consulting Services with JCG Land Services, Inc.
[Miscellaneous Right of Way and Easement Acquisition Services, 2024]
FORMAT:Resolution
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: JCG Land Services, Inc. will provide on-call
miscellaneous ROW and easement acquisition services. City staff are currently utilizing JCG staff on
the Bluestem Trunk Sewer Phase 2 project. Staff previously utilized JCG on several City projects and
they’ve conducted acceptable work thus far. Staff would request City Council’s support to continue
this partnership in calendar year 2024. This agreement is for on-call services at the hourly rates listed
on page 2: Schedule of Fees. If staff do not utilize their services, no cost is incurred.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS: This Agreement is for on-call
services at the hourly rates listed on page 2: Schedule of Fees of the Agreement.

RESOLUTION 2024-
APPROVING AGREEMENT FOR PROFESSIONAL CONSULTING SERVICES WITH
JCG LAND SERVICES, INC. [MISCELLANEOUS RIGHT OF WAY AND EASEMENT
ACQUISITION SERVICES 2024]
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized Municipal
Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, the City desires to retain the consultant services of JCG Land Services, Inc. for
Miscellaneous Right of Way and Easement Acquisition Services for calendar year 2024; AND,
WHEREAS, the scope of services includes the Consultant’s Project Manager and Acquisition
Specialist(s) will attend meetings with the City to discuss project details including the purpose of the
project, design, construction schedule, scope of tasks for acquisition process, number of parcels, project
coordination meetings and public hearing/meeting requirements, prior correspondence with affected
property owners, and other tasks requested by the City. Based on the project scope and schedule,
Consultant will develop a staff resource plan for review and approval by the City; AND,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee that the
Agreement for Professional Consulting Services between JCG Land Services, Inc. and the City
of Waukee, Iowa [Miscellaneous Right of way and Easement Acquisition Services, 2024] is
hereby approved.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee, Iowa, and approved the 5th day of February,
2024.
