AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a resolution approving Warranty Deed for SE
Glacier Trail Right-of-Way [Caliber Land Company, LLC]
FORMAT: Resolution
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: In 2023, the City Council approved construction plans for
an extension of SE Glacier Trail that is associated with the Kettlestone Central
Development. The developers have completed the extension of SE Glacier
Trail between SE Westown Parkway and SE Tallgrass Lane. For the City to
take over ownership of the right-of-way, the property needs to be deeded to
the City.

STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Staff would recommend approval of the resolution

THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
RESOLUTION 2024-
APPROVING WARRANTY DEED WITH CALIBER LAND COMPANY, LLC [SE
GLACIER TRAIL]
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized Municipal
Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, the City approved construction plans for SE Glacier Trail which included the
extension of SE Glacir Trail; AND,
WHEREAS, as a part of the improvements, a portion of SE Glacier Trail was required to be
extended over property owned by Caliber Land Company, LLC.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee, Iowa, that
the warranty deed for the extension of SE Glacier Trail over and across property owned by Caliber
Land Company, LLC be approved.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee, Iowa, and approved this the 5th day of
February, 2024.
