AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a resolution approving Warranty Deed for SE
Tallgrass Lane Right-of-Way [Caliber Land Company, LLC]
FORMAT: Resolution
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: In 2023, the City Council approved construction plans for
an extension of SE Tallgrass Lane that is associated with the Kettlestone
Central Development. The developers have completed the extension of SE
Tallgrass Lane between Grand Prairie Parkway and SE Glacier Trail. For the
City to take over ownership of the right-of-way, the property needs to be
deeded to the City.

THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
RESOLUTION 2024-
APPROVING WARRANTY DEED WITH CALIBER LAND COMPANY, LLC [SE
TALLGRASS LANE]
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized Municipal
Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, the City approved construction plans for SE Tallgrass Lane which included the
extension of SE Tallgrass Lane; AND,
WHEREAS, as a part of the improvements, a portion of SE Tallgrass Lane was required to be
extended over property owned by Caliber Land Company, LLC.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee, Iowa, that
the warranty deed for the extension of SE Tallgrass Lane over and across property owned by
Caliber Land Company, LLC be approved.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee, Iowa, and approved this the 5th day of
February, 2024.
