AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a resolution approving a contract with
Beelner Services Inc. for irrigation pump replacement.
FORMAT: Consent Agenda
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The Parks & Recreation Department sent out 3
requests for quotes for irrigation pump replacement on December 2,
2023. Two quotes were received prior to the January 29, 2024, at 12:00
PM deadline. The apparent low quote was Beelner Services Inc for
$21,610.00.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:
COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT:
STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: City staff recommends approval of the contract with
Beelner Services Inc.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the contract.

AWARDING QUOTE AND APPROVING CONTRACT FOR SUGAR CREEK
IRRIGATION PUMP REPLACEMENT
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF WAUKEE, IOWA:
That the following quote for certain public improvements described in general as Sugar
Creek Irrigation Pump Replacement and described in the Request for Quotes that was provided
to vendors be and is hereby accepted:
Contractor: Beelner Services, Inc., of Kingsley, IA
Amount of quote: $21,610.00
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the construction contract and insurance coverage for
Sugar Creek Irrigation Pump Replacement is hereby approved.
PASSED AND APPROVED this 20th day of February, 2024.
