STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Confluence Inc. has reviewed the Triumph Park Project and
find that the work performed is in substantial accordance with the plans and
specifications, and that the final amount of the Contract is $19,497,401.42.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the resolution.

RESOLUTION 2024-
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE TRIUMPH PARK
WHEREAS, on the 8th day of September, 2020, the Mayor and Clerk of the City of
Waukee, Iowa, entered into a construction contract with Larson Construction Company, Inc., of
Independence, IA, for the construction of certain public improvements generally described as the
Triumph Park; and
WHEREAS, the contractor has fully completed the construction of the public
improvements in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract and plans and
specifications, as shown by the certificate of the Engineer filed with the Clerk on February 15,
2024:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WAUKEE, STATE OF IOWA:
Section 1.That the report of the Engineer be and the same is hereby approved and adopted,
and the public improvements are hereby approved and accepted as having been fully completed in
accordance with the plans, specifications and form of contract and the total final construction cost
thereof is hereby determined to be $19,497,401.42, as shown in the report of the Engineer.

We hereby certify that we have made an on-site review of the construction of the Waukee
Athletic Complex – Triumph Park project as performed be Larson Construction, Inc.
As the Landscape Architects, and lead designers of the project, it is our opinion that the
work performed is substantial and in accordance with the plans and specifications and
that the final amount of the Contract is Nineteen Million, four hundred and ninety-seven
thousand, four hundred and one dollars and forty-two cents. ($19,497,401.42).
