HomeMy WebLinkAbout2024-03-18 I01H_08 T Ave Corridor, W Hickman Rd to NW Douglas Pkwy_Change Order 3AGENDA ITEM: CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA CITY COUNCIL MEETING COMMUNICATION MEETING DATE: March 18, 2024 AGENDA ITEM:Consideration of approval of Change Order No. 3 to All-Star Concrete, LLC for the T Avenue Corridor Improvements – W Hickman Road to NW Douglas Parkway Project decreasing the contract amount by $24,237.25. FORMAT:Motion SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: Plan change 4 revised the advanced warning on Hickman per the Iowa Department of Transportation’s (IDOT)’s request. The west bound advanced warning flashers have been omitted along with the conduit, wiring, pull tape, handhole and tracer needed for that run. This is reflected in the adjustment of the traffic signalization lump sum. Posts and signage will be installed in its place. The contractor was not able to re-stock the flashers so the city has agreed to take possession of the 2 and accept a credit adjustment for the labor and footings that are not needed. FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS: The net result of this Change Order decreases the contract price in the amount of $24,237.25. Change Description: Plan Change 4 revised the advanced warning on Hickman per the IDOT's request. We have reviewed the submitted quotes from All - Star and they appear to be in order with current industry pricing. If City Staff concurs with this pricing, we recommend the City of Waukee Decrease the contract price in the amount of $24,237.25 to complete the additional work associated with Change Order #3.
