SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON:This project includes all labor, materials and
equipment necessary for removal and replacement of 719 square yards of pavement, traffic
control and miscellaneous associated work, including cleanup.
The 2024 SE L.A. Grant Parkway Pavement Patching project will be located on SE L.A. Grant
Parkway between SE Booth Avenue and SE Westown Parkway. The Project is anticipated to be
completed during the summer break period. The project specifications indicate no lane closures
will be allow during the Fourth of July holiday so as not to interrupt planned activities.
Staff anticipate utilizing the Road Use Tax Fund’s Annual Road Repair – Patching budget line
item for this project. The annual budget for FY 2024-25 is $300,000.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS, PROPOSED FORM OF CONTRACT
AND ESTIMATE OF COST FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE 2024 SE LA GRANT PARKWAY PAVEMENT
PATCHING PROJECT FOR THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA.
The City Council of Waukee, Iowa, will hold a public hearing on the proposed Plans,
Specifications, Form of Contract and Estimate of Costs for the construction of the above
referenced public improvements at 5:30 p.m. on April 1, 2024. At said hearing, any interested
person may appear and file objections thereto or to the cost of the improvements. The work to
be done is as follows:

Construct 2024 SE LA Grant Parkway Pavement Patching including all labor, materials, and
equipment necessary for removal and replacement of 719 square yards of pavement, traffic
control and miscellaneous associated work, including cleanup.
The 2024 SE LA Grant Parkway Pavement Patching project will be located on SE LA Grant
Parkway between SE Booth Avenue and SE Westown Parkway.
In accordance with Iowa Code Sections 21.4(1)(b) and 21.8, this meeting of the Waukee City
Council will be conducted with two different options for public participation: 1) Members of the
public wishing to attend in person may do so in the Council Chambers at Waukee City Hall. 2)
