SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON:This project includes the furnishings of all labor,
equipment, and materials for construction of the NW 10th Street – Crack and Seat from NW
Douglas Parkway to 260th Street. Construction includes approximately 24,000 SY of Crack &
Seat of existing PCC pavement, 8,000 Tons of 6” HMA overlay, 3,000 Tons of granular shoulder,
800 SY of PCC removal, 600 LF of curb and gutter, 21,000 LF of subdrain, 250 STA of
pavement markings, signing, surface restoration, and miscellaneous related work and
appurtenances.
The construction cost estimate for the project is $1,483,782.00. The allocation of the Pre-Bid
construction costs between Waukee and Dallas County shall be $680,991.00 and $802,791.00
respectively. Final costs will be determined at the conclusion of the project based on the
previously approved agreement between the two agencies.
This project is included in the draft FY 2025-29 CIP with a total project budget of $900,000. The
project has a final completion date of August 9, 2024.

NW 10TH STREET - CRACK & SEAT
NW DOUGLAS PARKWAY TO 260TH STREET
WAUKEE, IOWA
DALLAS COUNTY PROJECT NO. LFM-(L-48) - - 7X - 25
The City Council of Waukee, Iowa, will hold a public hearing on the proposed Plans,
Specifications, Form of Contract and Estimate of Costs for the construction of the above
referenced public improvements at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, April 15, 2024 at the Council Chamber
in City Hall, 230 West Hickman Road, Waukee, Iowa 50263. At said hearing, any interested
person may appear and file objections thereto or to the cost of the improvements.
This project includes the furnishing of all labor, equipment, and materials for the construction of
the NW 10th Street - Crack & Seat from NW Douglas Parkway to 260th Street in Waukee,
Iowa generally described as follows:
Construct the NW 10th Street - Crack & Seat from NW Douglas Parkway to 260th
Street including all materials, labor and equipment necessary for installation of
approximately: 24,000 SY of Crack & Seat of Existing PCC Pavement, 8,000 TONS
of 6" HMA Overlay, 3,000 TONS of Granular Shoulder, 800 SY of PCC Removal,
600 LF of Curb and Gutter, 21,000 LF of subdrain, 250 STA of Pavement
Markings, signing, surface restoration, and miscellaneous related work and
appurtenances.
In accordance with Iowa Code Sections 21.4(1)(b) and 21.8, this meeting of the Waukee City
Council will be conducted with two different options for public participation: 1) Members of the
public wishing to attend in person may do so in the Council Chambers at Waukee City Hall. 2)
