THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
RESOLUTION 2024-
APPROVING THE PROPOSED FY2025 BUDGET
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee is a duly incorporated City within the County of Dallas and the
State of Iowa; AND,
WHEREAS, the State of Iowa has set April 30, 2024, as the date cities must submit an FY2025
certified budget to their respective county auditors; AND,
WHEREAS, all City departments have worked hard to create the FY2025 budget implementing
HF718, and in accordance with the City Council goals and priorities, to reduce the current tax
levy by $0.10/per $1,000 to $12.95/per $1,000 for the Waukee citizens; AND,
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held April 15, 2024, during the regularly scheduled council
meeting to seek and to receive citizen input concerning the proposed FY2025 budget; AND,
WHEREAS, the city council, after reviewing the proposed FY2025 budget and after receiving
citizen input on the same finds the FY2025 budget fiscally responsible and responsive to the
needs of the city.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
15th day of April, 2024, that it hereby approves the proposed FY2025 Budget with a total City
Tax Levy of $12.95/per $1,000.
