RECOMMENDATION: Approve the resolution approving contract and bond with Grimes
Asphalt and Paving Corporation of Des Moines, IA, in the amount of
$1,254,457.62.

RESOLUTION APPROVING CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT
AND BOND FOR THE NW 10TH STREET - CRACK & SEAT
NW DOUGLAS PARKWAY TO 260TH STREET
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, STATE
OF IOWA:
That the construction contract and bond executed and insurance coverage for the
construction of certain public improvements described in general as the NW 10th Street - Crack &
Seat NW Douglas Parkway to 260th Street, and as described in detail in the plans and
specifications heretofore approved, and which have been signed by the Mayor and Clerk on behalf
of the City be and the same are hereby approved as follows:
Contractor:Grimes Asphalt & Paving of Des Moines, IA
Amount of bid:$1,254,457.62
Bond surety:Western Surety Company
Date of bond:April 16, 2024
Portion of project:All construction work
PASSED AND APPROVED this 6th day of May, 2024.
