for the West Area Trunk Sewer Extension – Phase 2 project in the amount of
$174,141.89.

SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: Rognes Corporation has completed the project and is requesting
partial release of retainage. Veenstra & Kimm, Inc. recommends partial release of the retainage in the
amount of $174,141.89. The project will be accepted and the remaining $45,000 in retainage released when
the punch list is completed later this summer.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS: $174,141.89

WEST AREA TRUNK SEWER EXTENSION ‐ PHASE 2
EARLY RELEASE OF RETAINAGE
Rognes Corporation is requesting early partial release of the retainage on the West Area Trunk
Sewer Extension – Phase 2 project. Enclosed is the sworn statement notice from Rognes
Corporation as required by Iowa Code Section 573.28.
We recommend partial release of the retainage in the amount of $174,141.89 for the West Area
Trunk Sewer Extension – Phase 2 project by the City Council of the City of Waukee to Rognes
Corporation.
We recommend the release of the remaining retainage in the amount of $45,000.00 30 days
following final acceptance of the project by the City.
