AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a Motion to set a Public Hearing Date of
July 15, 2024, as the date of public hearing on an ordinance to amend
Chapter 169, Zoning Ordinance, City of Waukee, Iowa, by amending the
existing PD-1 (Planned Development Overlay District) for certain
property therein and rezoning certain property from K-RC (Kettlestone
Retail Community District) to K-RC (Kettlestone Retail Community
District) / PD-1 (Planned Development Overlay District) [KeeTown
Loop]
FORMAT: Motion
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: Staff has received a request to amend the existing
Planned Development for KeeTown Loop and to incorporate additional
property into the overall Planned Development.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:
COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT:
STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Staff would recommend approval of the City Council
setting the public hearing date for July 15, 2024, to discuss this matter
further. Council action to set the public hearing date does not indicate
support for the project. Rather, it represents the Council’s willingness to
allow the public hearing process to continue.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the motion.
