RESOLUTION 2024-223
APPROVING THE TEMPORARY CLOSING OF CERTAIN PORTIONS OF PUBLIC
STREETS ON THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 28, 2024, FROM 8:00 A.M. TO 9:30 A.M. FOR
THE WAUKEE TURKEY TROT 5K EVENT
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas County;
AND,
WHEREAS, All Community Events of Illinois will host a 5K event in and around Triumph Park
on Thursday, November 28, 2024, and requests the temporary closing of certain public streets
beginning 8:00 a.m. and ending 9:30 a.m. on the date of the event; AND,
WHEREAS, pursuant to §364.12(2)(a), public ways and grounds may be temporarily closed by
resolution;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
3rd day of June, 2024, that it hereby approves the temporary closing of the eastbound lanes of
NW Douglas Parkway from NW 10t' Street east to NW 2❑d Street, and the southbound lanes of
NW 2nd Street from NW Douglas Parkway south to NW Sunrise Drive bet he hours of 8:00
a.m. and 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 28, 2024.
