RESOLUTION 2024-224
APPROVING ONE-YEAR RENEWAL OF LEASE — BUSINESS PROPERTY AMONG THE
CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA; WAUKEE POST 11517 VETERANS OF FOREIGN WARS OF
THE UNITED STATES, INC.; AND WAUKEE POST 737, THE AMERICAN LEGION,
DEPARTMENT OF IOWA, INC. [410 6TH STREET]
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas County; AND,
WHEREAS, the City owns the property locally known as 410 6th St, Waukee, Iowa; AND,
WHEREAS, on May 3, 2021, the Waukee City Council approved a Lease — Business Property among
the City of Waukee, Iowa; Waukee Post 11517 Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States, Inc.;
and Waukee Post 737, the American Legion, Department of Iowa, Inc. (Resolution #2021-167); AND,
WHEREAS, the Tenants have provided notice to the City of their desire to renew the lease for another
year.
BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee that the Lease —
Business Property between the City of Waukee, Iowa and Waukee Post 737, the American Legion,
Department of Iowa, Inc., shall be renewed for a term which shall commence on the 1 It day of May,
2024, and ending at midnight on the 301h day of April, 2025.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee, Iowa, and approve s ' day of June, 2024.
