RESOLUTION 2024-274
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A PUBLIC ART
GRANT AWARD AND EXECUTING AN AGREEMENT WITH BRAVO
GREATER DES MOINES
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas
County; AND,
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee has a current 28E Agreement and is a member in good
standing with Bravo Greater Des Moines; AND,
WHEREAS, the City developed the Waukee Public Art and Culture Plan in 2023 and
applied for a public art grant to cover a portion of the expenses associated with the first
public art project initiated by the Waukee Public Art Advisory Commission; AND,
WHEREAS, Bravo Greater Des Moines announced that subject to agreeing to the
attached agreement, the City of Waukee will be awarded a public art grant worth
$50,000.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 17ffi day of June, 2024, that the GC24 Public Art Grant Agreement is
approved and the City accepts a grant award of $50,000.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor is authorized to execute any and all
documents to effectuate the referenced agreement.
