RESOLUTION 2024-293
APPROVING THE MAYOR'S APPOINTMENT OF CITIZEN MEMBERS TO
THE LIBRARY BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THREE-YEAR TERMS TO END
JUNE 30, 2027; AND AN UNEXPIRED TERM TO END JUNE 30, 2026
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas County;
AND,
WHEREAS, each year the mayor must appoint or reappoint citizen members to those boards
which have appointments scheduled to expire or unexpired terms; AND,
WHEREAS, Mayor Courtney Clarke has made the following appointments to the Library Board
of Trustees:
Darcy Burnett appointment 3-year term ending 06/30/2027
Lela Scott appointment 3-year term ending 06/30/2027; AND,
WHEREAS, Library Board of Trustees Member Anna Phelps is unable to fulfill the remainder
of her term, scheduled to expire June 30, 2026, due to an impending move from Waukee; AND,
WHEREAS, Mayor Courtney Clarke appoints Emily Schultz to fill the unexpired Library Board
of Trustees term of Anna Phelps.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
lst day of July, 2024, that the mayor's appointments to the Library Board of Trustees are hereby
approved.
