STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Veenstra & Kimm has reviewed the public improvements for
Lift Station No. 2 Rehabilitation and find it in general conformance with the project specifications.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the resolution.

RESOLUTION 2024-
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE LIFT STATION NO. 2
REHABILITATION
WHEREAS, on the 16th day of May, 2022, the Mayor and Clerk of the City of Waukee,
Iowa, entered into a construction contract with WRH, Inc., of Amana, IA, for the construction of
certain public improvements generally described as the Lift Station No. 2 Rehabilitation; and
WHEREAS, the contractor has fully completed the construction of the public
improvements in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract and plans and
specifications, as shown by the certificate of the Engineer filed with the Clerk on July 10, 2024:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WAUKEE, STATE OF IOWA:
Section 1.That the report of the Engineer be and the same is hereby approved and adopted,
and the public improvements are hereby approved and accepted as having been fully completed in
accordance with the plans, specifications and form of contract and the total final construction cost
thereof is hereby determined to be $2,179,061.46, as shown in the report of the Engineer.
