SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: Parks & Recreation Staff recommends approval of
decreasing the cash on hand from $400 to $200 to more accurately reflect
current practices.

ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 7, FISCAL MANAGEMENT, BY
AMENDING SECTION 7.02(4)(B), CASH CONTROL, CHANGE FUNDS, PARKS AND
RECREATION
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee has determined that it is necessary to amend the change
fund amount for the Parks and Recreation Department to more accurately reflect current practices;
BE IT THEREFORE ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Waukee:
Section 1: Chapter 7, Fiscal Management, Section 7.02(4)(B), Cash Control, Change
Funds, Parks and Recreation, is hereby amended as follows:
B. Parks and Recreation. The finance officer is authorized to draw a check on
the General Fund for establishing a change fund in the amount of $200.00 for the purpose
of making change without commingling other funds to meet the requirements of said
department. Said change fund shall be in the custody of the Parks and Recreation
Department and uses shall include concession stand start up and activity registrations.
The department director shall maintain the integrity of the fund.
Section 2. Repealer. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions
of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 3. Severability Clause. If any section, provision or part of this ordinance shall
be adjudged invalid or unconstitutional, such adjudication shall not affect the validity of the
ordinance as a whole or any section, provisions or part thereof not adjudged invalid or
unconstitutional.
Section 4. Effective Date. This ordinance shall be in effect from and after its final
passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
