STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: City of Clive has reviewed the public improvements for
Hickman Road (US 6) & 161st Street/SE Legacy Pointe Blvd. Intersection Improvements Phase 1
Project and find it in general conformance with the project specifications.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the resolution.

RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE HICKMAN ROAD (US 6) &
161ST STREET/SE LEGACY POINTE BLVD INTERSECTION
IMPROVEMENTS (PHASE 1)
WHEREAS, on the 5th day of June, 2023, the Mayor and Clerk of the City of Clive, Iowa,
with the consent and approval of the City of Waukee, entered into a construction contract with
Hawkeye Paving Corporation of Davenport, IA, for the construction of certain public
improvements generally described as the Hickman Road (US 6) & 161st Street/SE Legacy Pointe
Blvd Intersection Improvements (Phase 1); and
WHEREAS, the contractor has fully completed the construction of the public
improvements in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract and plans and
specifications, as shown by the certificate of the Engineer filed with the Clerk on July 19, 2024:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WAUKEE, STATE OF IOWA:
Section 1.That the report of the Engineer be and the same is hereby approved and adopted,
and the public improvements are hereby approved and accepted as having been fully completed in
accordance with the plans, specifications and form of contract and the total final construction cost
thereof is hereby determined to be $832,590.10, as shown in the report of the Engineer.

CERTIFICATE OF FINAL COMPLETION
This Certificate of Final Completion is issued by the Citv of Clive ("Owner") to certify that Hawkeve
Paving Corporation ("Contractor") has completed all work required for the Hickman Road & NW
16Lst Street I ntersection lmprovem ent Proiect ("Project") in accordance with the terms of the
contract and all applicable laws, regulations, and codes.
The Owner has inspected the Project and has accepted it as complete. A Total Project Cost of
eisht hundred thirtv two thousand five hundred ninetv and 10/100 dollars (S832,sgo.ro1 has
been established for the Project. The Contractor has been paid in full for the Project and no
further payments are due.
The Owner and Contractor further certify that all financial information related to the Project has
been accurately reported, including the Final Amount and Remainder due to the Contractor, if
any.
This Certificate of Final Completion is issued to certify that the Project is complete and that all
the terms and conditions of the contract have been met.
