AGENDA ITEM:Consideration of approval of a resolution approving appointment of a
citizen member to the Board of Adjustment for an unexpired term ending
January 31, 2027; and a citizen member to the Board of Adjustment for an
unexpired term ending January 31, 2029
FORMAT:Mayor’s Appointment and Resolution
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: Board of Adjustment Member Tanner Westberg is
unable to fulfill the remainder of his term, scheduled to expire January 31,
2027. Also, Board of Adjustment Member Emily Schultz is unable to
fulfill the remainder of her term, scheduled to expire January 31, 2029.

STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Mayor Clarke will announce her appointments.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the resolution.

RESOLUTION 2024-
APPROVING MAYOR’S APPOINTMENT OF A CITIZEN MEMBER TO THE BOARD
OF ADJUSTMENT FOR AN UNEXPIRED TERM ENDING JANUARY 31, 2027;
AND A CITIZEN MEMBER TO THE BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT FOR AN
UNEXPIRED TERM ENDING JANUARY 31, 2029
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas County;
AND,
WHEREAS, Board of Adjustment Member Tanner Westberg is unable to fulfill the remainder
of his term, scheduled to expire January 31, 2027; AND,
WHEREAS, Board of Adjustment Member Emily Schultz is unable to fulfill the remainder of
her term, scheduled to expire January 31, 2029; AND,
WHEREAS, Mayor Courtney Clarke appoints _______________ to fill the unexpired Board of
Adjustment term of Tanner Westberg and appoints _______________ to fill the unexpired Board
of Adjustment term of Emily Schultz.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
5th day of August, 2024, that the mayor’s appointment of _______________ to the Board of
Adjustment for an unexpired term ending January 31, 2027; and the mayor’s appointment of
_______________ to the Board of Adjustment for an unexpired term ending January 31, 2029,
are hereby approved.
