RESOLUTION 2024-311
APPROVING THE TEMPORARY CLOSING OF CERTAIN PORTIONS OF PUBLIC
STREETS ON SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 15, 2024, FOR THE KEE KAR SHOW EVENT
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas County; AND,
WHEREAS, Megan Pinkerton of The `Kee will host a car show event in and around Triangle Park on
Sunday, September 15, 2024, and requests the temporary closing of certain public streets beginning
6:00 a.m. and ending 5:00 p.m. on the date of the event; AND,
WHEREAS, pursuant to §364.12(2)(a), public ways and grounds may be temporarily closed by
resolution;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this 5t' day
of August, 2024, that it hereby approves the temporary closing of Walnut Street from 5t' Street west to
7t' Street, 6 h Street from Ashworth Drive south to Locust Street, the public alley between 6�" Street
and 7�" Street from Ashworth Drive south to Locust Street, the public alley between 5 h Street and 61'
Street from Walnut Street south to Locust Street, and the public alley between Ashworth Drive and
Walnut Street from 7t' Street east to its terminus, beginning 6:00 a.m. and ending 5:00 p.m. on Sunday,
September 15, 2024, for the purpose of the Kee Kar Show event.
