RESOLUTION 2024-324
APPROVING AGREEMENT FOR PROFESSIONAL CONSULTING SERVICES WITH
VEENSTRA & KIMM, INC. [2024/2025 ADA SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENTS
PROJECT]
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized Municipal
Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, the City desires to retain the consultant services of Veenstra & Kimm, Inc. for the
2024/2025 ADA Sidewalk Improvements Project; AND,
WHEREAS, the scope of services includes replacement of sidewalks and pedestrian ramps that
are not in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act Accessibilities Guidelines
(ADAAG) and the Proposed Accessibility Guidelines for Pedestrian Facilities in the Public
Right -of -Way and construction of new pedestrian ramps; AND,
WHEREAS, the project locations of work are at the entrance to Fox Creek Park and NE
Bowman Drive, the intersection of NE Bowman Drive and NE Dartmoor Drive, the intersection
SE LA Grant Parkway and SE Pleasant View Drive, and a midblock crossing of SE Westown
Parkway between S. Warrior Lane and SE LA Grant Parkway; AND,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee that the
Agreement for Professional Consulting Services between Veenstra & Kimm, Inc. and the City of
Waukee, Iowa [2024/2025 ADA Sidewalk Improvements Project] is hereby approved.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee, Iowa, and approved the 5t' day of August,
2024.
