Mr. Reaman will train with the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy at the City’s cost. The Certification Training Expense Agreement addresses repayment to the City if the employee is unable to complete training or if the employee is terminated or resigns within the first four (4) years of employment with the City, FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS: Estimated $31,046.64 COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT: STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: The Waukee Police and Human Resources departments recommend approval of the agreement. Certification Training Expense Reimbursement Agreement PREPARED BY:Michelle Lindsay REVIEWED BY: I1E1 THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA RESOLUTION 2024- APPROVING CERTIFICATION TRAINING EXPENSE REIMBURSEMENT AGREEMENT BETWEEN ETHAN REAMAN AND THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IA IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized Municipal Organization; AND, WHEREAS, as part of an approved offer of employment and in order to fulfill all the duties of a Waukee Police Officer, Ethan Reaman is required to undergo training through the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy (ILEA); AND, WHEREAS, City staff recommends approval of a Certification Training Expense Reimbursement Agreement to address matters related to said ILEA training: NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this 19th day of August 2024, that the Certification Training Reimbursement Agreement between Ethan Reaman and the City of Waukee, IA, is hereby accepted and approved. ____________________________ Courtney Clarke, Mayor Attest: ___________________________________ Rebecca D.
