AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a Motion to set a Public Hearing Date of
October 7, 2024, as the date of public hearing concerning the disposal of
public property pursuant to Iowa Code Section 364.7 (2024) [Elm Street
Property]
FORMAT: Motion
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: City staff has been approached by the owner of
the commercial building located at 750 W. Hickman Road regarding a
parking lot expansion. The proposed parking lot expansion would
encroach onto property owned by the City of Waukee south of existing
building. The building owner is requesting an easement from the City to
allow for the parking to be partially located on property owned by the
City of Waukee.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:

STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Staff would recommend a public hearing date be set for
October 7, 2024, to consider the disposal of the property.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the motion.
