AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A 2027 100'LADDER TRUCK FROM BANNER
FIRE EQUIPMENT OF ROXANA, IL IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,831,955.00 [WAUKEE
FIRE DEPARTMENT]
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas County;
AND,
WHEREAS the Waukee Fire Department finds it necessary to replace a 2003 ladder truck;
AND,
WHEREAS, the Waukee Fire Department recommends the purchase of a 2027 Emergency One
ladder truck from Banner Fire Equipment through the Sourcewell group purchasing consortium,
of which the Waukee Fire Department is a member; AND,
WHEREAS the purchase is included in the Fiscal Year 2027 Capital Improvement Program but
due to a four-year lead time, the Waukee Fire Department requests that the purchase be approved
by the Waukee City Council at this time.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
16"' day of September 2024, that it hereby authorizes the purchase of a 2027 ladder truck from
Banner Fire Equipment of Roxana, IL in the amount of $1,831,955.00.
