AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a resolution approving Warranty Deed from
William Fox Farm Company [NW Sproul Drive right-of-way]
FORMAT: Resolution
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: In 2024, the City Council approved a final plat for Fox
Creek Meadows Plat 1. A portion of a street constructed as part of that
development is located on property owned by the William Fox Farm
Company. The acceptance of the deed would transfer ownership of that
portion of the street and right-of-way on the William Fox Farm Company
property to the City.

STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Staff would recommend approval of the resolution

THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
RESOLUTION 2024-
APPROVING WARRANTY DEED WITH WILLIAM FOX FARM COMPANY [NW
SPROUL DRIVE]
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized Municipal
Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, the City approved construction plans for Fox Creek Meadows Plat 1 which included
the extension of NW Sproul Drive; AND,
WHEREAS, as a part of the improvements, a portion of NW Sproul Drive was required to be
extended over property owned by William Fox Farm Company.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee, Iowa, that
the warranty deed for the extension of NW Sproul Drive over and across property owned by
Willaim Fox Farm Company be approved.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee, Iowa, and approved this the 18th day of
November, 2024.
