Contract Amendment No.1 between the Iowa Departments of Agriculture and
Land Stewardship (IDALS) and the City of Waukee [Little Walnut Creek
Headwaters Wetland & Greenway, Contract No. Urban23ARPA-015]

SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: This amendment is entered into by IDALS and the City of
Waukee relative to the Little Walnut Creek Headwaters Wetland & Greenway Project. In response to
the City’s request to extend the Project Completion Date in general accordance with Section 2 of the
Cost-Share Grant Contract, the project completion date will be amended from December 31, 2024, to
December 31, 2026. This Amendment does not change any other provisions of the previously
approved Agreement.

RESOLUTION 2024 -
APPROVING COST-SHARE GRANT CONTRACT AMENDMENT NO.1 BETWEEN
THE IOWA DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE AND LAND STEWARDSHIP
(IDALS) AND THE CITY OF WAUKEE [LITTLE WALNUT CREEK HEADWATERS
WETLAND & GREENWAY, CONTRACT NO. URBAN23ARPA-015]
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized Municipal
Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, the City Council approved a Cost Share Grant Contract with IDALS for the Water
Quality Initiative Little Walnut Creek Headwaters Wetland and Greenway Urban Conservation
Demonstration Project on March 20, 2023 (Resolution #2023-113); AND,
WHEREAS, in response to the City’s request to extend the project completion date in general
accordance with Section 2 of the Cost-Share Grant Contract, the project completion date will be
amended from December 31, 2024, to December 31, 2026. This amendment does not change any
other provisions of the Agreement;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee that the
Cost-Share Grant Contract Amendment No.1 between the IDALS and the City of Waukee [Little
Walnut Creek Headwaters Wetland & Greenway, Contract No. Urban23ARPA-015] is hereby
approved.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee, Iowa, and approved the 16th day of
December, 2024.

This amendment is entered into by the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship;
hereinafter referred to as IDALS, and the City of Waukee; hereinafter referred to as the Grantee.
I. Relative to the Little Walnut Creek Headwaters Wetland & Greenway Project.
II. Purpose of the Amendment
A.In response to the Grantee’s request to extend the Project Completion Date in general
accordance with Section 2 of the Cost-Share Grant Contract.
The Project Completion Date will be amended from December 31, 2024, to December
31, 2026.
B.This Amendment does not change any other provisions of the agreement.
III. Effective Date of this Amendment
This amendment takes effect upon signature by all parties below.
