HomeMy WebLinkAbout2024-12-16 I01F_01 Waukee Public Safety_Change Order 8\AGENDA ITEM: CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA CITY COUNCIL MEETING COMMUNICATION MEETING DATE: December 16, 2024 AGENDA ITEM:Consideration of approval of Change Order No. 8 (Combined) for the Waukee Public Safety Building Project, increasing the contract in the amount of $23,748.77 FORMAT:Consent Agenda SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON:Change Order No. 8 relates to several minor items that have been discovered as construction has continued and include some modifications to casework ($1,605.47), modifications to the southern entrance approach ($6,501.00), modifications to some bathroom fixtures within the fire department side of the building ($8,246.90), CMU block changes due to roof joist conflicts ($730.40), wall modifications ($6,165.00) and some additional engineering ($500.00). FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:The net result of this Change Order increases the contract price in the amount of $23,748.77. In total, there have been 8 change orders for $197,775.64 to date which is approximately 13.2% of the total contingency budget.
