SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: HIRTA requests that the City of Waukee
appoint one (1) primary member and one (1) alternate member to the
Transportation Advisory Group (TAG).

THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
RESOLUTION 2025-019
APPROVING THE MAYOR’S APPOINTMENT OF CITY OF WAUKEE OF
REPRESENTATION TO THE HEART OF IOWA REGIONAL TRANSIT AGENCY
(HIRTA) TRANSPORTATION ADVISORY GROUP (TAG) FOR 2025
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas County;
AND,
WHEREAS, the Heart of Iowa Regional Transit Agency (HIRTA) was created for the purpose
of providing and promoting transportation for older adults, people with disabilities, people facing
financial barriers, commuters and the general public in several Iowa counties, including Dallas
County; AND,
WHEREAS, HIRTA requests that the City of Waukee appoint one (1) primary member and one
(1) alternate member to the Transportation Advisory Group (TAG); AND,
WHEREAS, Mayor Courtney Clarke appoints Director of Economic Development Jennifer
Brown as primary member and Assistant City Administrator Nick Osborne as alternate member
to the Heart of Iowa Regional Transit Agency (HIRTA) Transportation Advisory Group (TAG)
for 2025.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
20th day of January, 2025, that it hereby approves the Mayor’s appointments to the Heart of Iowa
Regional Transit Agency (HIRTA) Transportation Advisory Group (TAG) for 2025.
