RESOLUTION 2025-045
APPROVING MAYOR'S APPOINTMENT OF EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE SUBAREA
NOMINEES TO THE DES MOINES AREA METROPOLITAN PLANNING
ORGANIZATION (MPO) FOR 2025
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas County;
AND,
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee is a member of the Des Moines Area Metropolitan Planning
Organization (MPO); AND,
WHEREAS, for Des Moines Area MPO Executive Committee representation, the City of
Waukee belongs to the Southwest Subarea (Clive, Norwalk, Warren County, Waukee, and
Windsor Heights), as described in the Des Moines Area MPO's 28E agreement, which is to
select from among its collective primary representatives two individuals to represent the subarea
on the Executive Committee; AND,
WHEREAS, the mayor of each member city located in the subarea and, if one of the subarea's
member governments is a county, the Chair of the Board of Supervisors from said county, will
serve as a selection committee to choose the two individuals from among those nominated to
represent the subarea on the Executive Committee;
NOW THEREFORE be it resolved by the City of Waukee City Council in session this 201h day
of January, 2025, to appoint Mayor Courtney Clarke and Mike Jones of Windsor Heights, Iowa,
as Executive Committee Subarea Nominees.
