SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON:
The City of Waukee sought proposals for the renovation of a children’s
restroom. Three proposals were submitted for consideration. The most
responsive contractor for the most advantageous price was Bergstrom
Construction Inc
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:
The cost for the renovation of this space within the Waukee Public Library is
$6739. This proposal will convert the existing child’s restroom into a private
lactation space. This project was budgeted in the current fiscal year for $7500.

AWARDING QUOTE FOR WAUKEE PUBLIC LIBRARY LACTATION ROOM
CONSTRUCTION PROJECT
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF WAUKEE, IOWA:
That the following quote for certain public improvements described in general as the Waukee
Public Library Lactation Room Construction Project and described in the Request for Quotes
that was provided to vendors be and is hereby accepted, the same being the lowest responsible
quote received for such work, as follows:
Contractor: Bergstrom Construction, Inc., of Des Moines, Iowa
Amount of quote: $6,739.00
PASSED AND APPROVED this 3rd day of February, 2025.
