FORMAT:Resolution
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: This is a lease for the buildings situated on the City’s Civic
Campus property for duration of one year starting on March 1, 2025 and terminating on March 1,
2026. The outbuildings on the Civic Campus property are not scheduled to be disturbed by any public
improvement projects in 2025 and therefore City staff have coordinated with the existing tenant to
continue to use the premises and outbuildings for equipment and material storage purposes only.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS: Total annual rent $750.00

THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
RESOLUTION 2025 -
APPROVING LEASE – BUSINESS PROPERTY
[AL ERDMAN]
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized
Municipal Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, the Lease is for the buildings located on the City’s Civic Campus property for a
duration of one year starting on March 1, 2025; AND,
WHEREAS, the Lease will terminate on March 1, 2026; AND,
WHEREAS, the buildings on the Civic Campus property are not scheduled to be disturbed
by any public improvement projects in 2025 and therefore City staff have coordinated with
the existing tenant farmer to continue to use the premises and outbuildings for equipment and
material storage purposes only; AND,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council that the
Lease – Business Property is hereby approved, and the Mayor and the City Clerk are
authorized to execute the Agreement for and on behalf of the City.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee, Iowa, and approved this 3rd day of
February, 2025.
