Funding for paramedic school tuition must be approved each fiscal year within the budget review process. All applicants must be aware that 100% tuition funding is not guaranteed even after a successful completion of a course or program as budgetary constraints may dictate a lesser reimbursement. Tuition funding will only be given for courses that are taken at accredited educational institutions that are defined as colleges, universities, trade schools, business schools or other institutions that have met the minimum requirements and standards of an accrediting association as recognized by the United States Department of Education. Tuition funding will be reduced by the amount of any government, college, or other program grants, scholarships, fellowships, etc. that are paid to or on behalf of the employee. Eligibility Eligibility will be at the sole discretion of the fire chief or their designee. The employee must request approval prior to enrollment in courses. The employee must complete the applicable form from administration and have it signed by the fire chief or designee.
