RESOLUTION 2025-067
APPROVING AGREEMENT FOR PROFESSIONAL CONSULTING SERVICES WITH
SHIVE-HATTERY, INC. [LOTH STREET EXTENSION PROJECT, WESTOWN
PARKWAY TO UNIVERSITY AVENUE]
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized Municipal
Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, the City desires to retain the consultant services of Shive-Hattery, Inc. for the IOtn
Street Extension Project, Westown Parkway to University Avenue; AND,
WHEREAS, the scope of services includes the construction of loth Street from Westown
Parkway to University Avenue. 1 Oth Street will be designed and constructed as a four -lane urban
street between 31Oth Street and University Avenue. South of 31Oth Street, 1 Oth Street is
anticipated to transition to a three -lane roadway. Other improvements included are the
reconstruction of 31Oth Street to connect with IOth Street at a new intersection. The project
includes pedestrian accommodations through all intersections and along 1 Oth Street. Two
pedestrian underpasses will be included under 1 Oth Street. Utility improvements will be
included along the project corridor and are anticipated to include storm sewer, sanitary sewer,
water main, and joint utility trench; AND,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee that the
Agreement for Professional Consulting Services between Shive-Hattery, Inc. and the City of
Waukee, Iowa [IO'h Street Extension Project, Westown Parkway to University Avenue] is hereby
approved.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee, Iowa, and approved the 3rd day of February,
2025.
