Maintenance

SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The agreement consists of pond/aquatic maintenance on
these 13 listed ponds. Triumph Park Large, Triumph Park Small, Prairie Rose,
Waukee Towne Center, Waukee Library, Bus Facility, Parkview Crossing,
Kettlestone Commons-West, Middle, East, and Southeast, Legacy Pointe,
Public Safety. The three quotes received are as follows:
1.RJ Lawn and Landscape (Waukee) $28,925.00
2.The Iowa Pond Guy $31,500.00
3.Aquatic Control $31,900.00
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:$28,925.00
COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT:
STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: City staff has reviewed the bids and recommend awarding the
quote to RJ Lawn and Landscape (Waukee). Staff has met with the contractor
to go over the expectations and feel that the company will be able to meet the
expectations of the City of Waukee.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the resolution.

AWARDING QUOTE FOR 2025 POND MAINTENANCE
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF WAUKEE, IOWA:
That the following quote for certain public improvements described in general as 2025 Pond
Maintenance and described in the Request for Quotes that was provided to vendors be and is
hereby accepted, the same being the lowest responsible quote received for such work, as follows:
Contractor: RJ Lawn and Landscape of Waukee, IA
Amount of quote: $28,925.00
PASSED AND APPROVED this 18th day of February, 2025.
