AGENDA ITEM:Consideration of approval of a motion approving Pay Estimate No. 5/Release of
Retainage to Grimes Asphalt and Paving Corporation for the 2023 Asphalt Overlay
Improvements Project, Ashworth Drive from 4th Street to 10th Street, in the amount
of $24,753.19

SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: All punch-list items have been completed and the prime
contractor, Grimes Asphalt and Paving Corporation, has provided lien waiver documents for each sub-
contractor and supplier.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:$24,753.19
COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT:
STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: McClure has reviewed the public improvements for the 2023
Asphalt Overlay Improvements Project and find it in substantial conformance with the project plans and
specifications.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Release of Retainage to Grimes Asphalt and Paving Corporation
for the NE Outfall Sewer project in the amount of $24,753.19
