SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON:
The plan set includes improvements associated with Painted Woods West Plat 6. The
improvements include water main, storm sewer, sanitary sewer, and public street extensions.

STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: All staff comments have been addressed.
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of the resolution.

RESOLUTION 2025-
APPROVING THE CONSTRUCTION DRAWINGS FOR
PAINTED WOODS WEST PLAT 6
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized Municipal
Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, construction drawings have been submitted to the City for Painted Woods West
Plat 6; AND,
WHEREAS, the construction drawings have been reviewed by the City Engineer and City staff,
and are found to be in general conformance with section §177 – Subdivision Regulations –
Design Standards of the Waukee Municipal Code; AND,
WHEREAS, on February 3, 2025, the Waukee City Council approved a resolution approving
Painted Woods West Plat 6 construction drawings (Resolution #2025-073); however, due to a
scrivener’s error, the action item was incorrectly listed on the February 3, 2025, council meeting
agenda as consideration of revised construction drawings, requiring the approval of a new
resolution to correct the error.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee, Iowa on
this 18th day of February, 2025, that the Construction Drawings for Painted Woods West Plat 6
be approved subject to remaining comments.
