AGENDA ITEM:Consideration of approval of Change Order No. 1 to Concrete Connection,
LLC., for Painted Woods West Park Project increasing the contract in the
amount of $58,540.00.
FORMAT:Motion
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: Change Order No. 1 to Concrete Connection, LLC is for
the addition of two pickleball courts and adjustments to site grading to
accommodate the courts.
Conversion from an electrical transformer to an electrical meter post and
associated electrical wire. As part of this line item, the costs associated with a
new Mid-American Energy transformer will be eliminated from the project
budget.

Dear Mr. Jermier:
Please find Change Order #1 attached in the amount of $58,540 for the
above-referenced project. This work is associated with two project
scope items:
1) Addition of two pickleball courts and edits to adjacent site to
accommodate the courts.
2) Conversion from an electrical transformer to an electrical meter
post and associated electrical wire. As part of this line item, the costs
associated with a new Mid American Energy transformer
(approximately $15,000) will be eliminated from the project budget.
Genus recommends that the City of Waukee approve Change Order #1
to Concrete Connections. Don’t hesitate to reach out if you have
questions or need additional information.

60’x60’ Pickleball court to include: subgrade prep, modified subbase, reinforced 5” PCC slab, surfacing,
striping, Pickleball Court system (fencing approx. 224’ of 4” tall black vinyl chain link. Douglas industry
– nets, net posts, center tie anchors). Reduction in size of original basketball court (144SY Deduction
from original 297SY @ Contract price of $65.00/SY). Electrical Changes per CO#1.
