RESOLUTION 2025-118
APPROVING INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN
THE CITY OF CLIVE, IOWA AND THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA FOR THE
ALICE'S ROAD IMPROVEMENTS PHASE 1A PROJECT
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized Municipal
Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, the Intergovernmental Agreement outlines the specifics for the Alice's Road
Improvements Phase I project with the City of Clive, Iowa and the City of Waukee, Iowa; AND,
WHEREAS, the public improvement project involving the construction of certain roadway
improvements in Clive and Waukee, including improvements to Alice's Road between NE
Horizon Drive and NE Dellwood Drive to fully reconstruct the existing two-lane rural section roadway
to a four -lane boulevard section with associated storm sewer, water main and trail improvements;
AND,
WHEREAS, the Total Project Cost shall include but not be limited to (a) actual construction costs of
the Project, (b) actual costs for the installation of streetlights, and (c) construction administration and
observation services. The parties agree that the preliminary Total Project Cost for the Project is
$4,820.400.00 as presented in Exhibit B. The allocation of the Total Project Cost between Clive and
Waukee shall be 51.5 percent for Clive ($2,484,850.00) and 48.5 percent for Waukee ($2,335,550.00);
AND,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee approve an
Intergovernmental Agreement between the City of Clive, Iowa and the City of Waukee, Iowa is hereby
approved.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee, Iowa, and approved d day of March, 2025.
