RESOLUTION 2025-128
APPROVING WARRANTY DEED WITH ALICE'S, LC
[ALICE'S ROAD IMPROVEMENTS PHASE 1A]
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized Municipal
Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, the City approved construction plans for the Alice's Road Improvements Phase lA
project which includes improving the storm water management basin located on the NW corner of
NE Alice's Road and NE Horizon Drive; AND,
WHEREAS, Alice's LC has agreed to voluntarily donate the property (Dallas County Parcel ID
12227404002) they currently own on the northwest corner of NE Alice's Road and NE Horizon
Drive to the City of Waukee; AND,
WHEREAS, The Alice's Road Improvements Phase lA project design has stormwater best
management improvements on this parcel in addition to also being a borrow site for the roadway
improvements. The City would become the owner and therefore assume maintenance
responsibility of this stormwater regional basin. City staff have worked diligently with the
property owners and the City of Clive to reach a design that ultimately has benefit for both Cities;
AND,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee, Iowa, that
the warranty deed for the extension of NW Sproul Drive over and across property owned by
Willaim Fox Farm Company be approved.
