HomeMy WebLinkAbout2025-04-21 I01I FY2026 Compensation Plan_Non-Union, Fire, ManagementAGENDA ITEM: CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA CITY COUNCIL MEETING COMMUNICATION MEETING DATE: April 21, 2025 AGENDA ITEM:Consideration of approval of a resolution approving Management, Non- Union, and Fire Compensation Plans FORMAT:Resolution SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The compensation plans for Management, Non-union and Fire employees have been reviewed, updated, and reflect a general wage increase to be effective June 29, 2025. FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS: The funding to support the compensation plans has been included in the City’s FY2025-2026 operating budget. COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT: STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Staff recommends approval of the Management, Non-Union, and Fire Compensation Plans. RECOMMENDATION: Approve the resolution. I1I THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA RESOLUTION 2025- APPROVAL OF THE COMPENSATION PLANS FOR CITY OF WAUKEE MANAGEMENT, NON-UNION, AND FIRE EMPLOYEES IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized Municipal Organization; AND, WHEREAS, the City of Waukee code section §17.02 provides, the Council shall review and authorize proposed compensation for City employees whose positions are not represented by the City of Waukee collective bargaining unit; AND, WHEREAS, the City Administrator and Human Resources Director have reviewed and recommend approval of the City of Waukee Management, Non-Union, and Fire compensation plans; AND, WHEREAS, the funding to support the compensation plans has been included in the City’s FY2025-2026 budget; AND, WHEREAS, the proposed compensation plans shall be effective June 29, 2025, and shall remain in effect until such time as revised compensation plans are presented.
