[Dejong Properties, LLC; David Felt]
FORMAT:Resolution
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: This agreement between the City of Waukee and
David Felt for crop damages that occurred along the south perimeter of the West Area Trunk
Sewer Phase 3 Project. These damages are for the temporary and permanent easement areas that
are not able to be farmed during construction of the sanitary sewer during the 2025 growing
season.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS: Payment in the amount of
$1,120.00 to David Felt.
COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT:
STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Staff recommends approval of the resolution and crop
damage claim form.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the resolution

THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
RESOLUTION 2025-
APPROVING CROP DAMAGE CLAIM
[DEJONG PROPERTIES, LLC; DAVID FELT]
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized Municipal
Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, this is an agreement between the City of Waukee and David Felt, tenant farmer on
the DeJong Properties, LLC for loss of crop within the temporary and permanent easement areas;
AND,
WHEREAS, the damages are a direct result of the work performed as part of the West Area
Trunk Sewer Phase 3 Project; AND,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee the Crop
Damage Claim [DeJong Properties, LLC; David Felt] is hereby approved.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee, Iowa, and approved the 5th day of May, 2025.
