SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: This project includes all labor, materials, and
equipment necessary for the construction of approximately 2,600 linear feet of 8-inch water main
primarily directional bored in place, hydrants, valves, fittings, connections to the existing system,
service reconnections, surface restoration and miscellaneous associated work, including cleanup.
The Little Walnut Creek Drive Water Main Improvements Project is located along segments of
NW Prairie Rose Lane and NW Little Walnut Creek Drive.
This project is in the approved FY 2026-2030 CIP with a budget of $720,000 in FY 2026. The
project has a completion date of May 31, 2026.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS, PROPOSED FORM OF CONTRACT
AND ESTIMATE OF COST FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE LITTLE WALNUT CREEK DRIVE WATER
MAIN IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT FOR THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA.
The City Council of Waukee, Iowa, will hold a public hearing on the proposed Plans,
Specifications, Form of Contract and Estimate of Costs for the construction of the above
referenced public improvements at 5:30 p.m. on June 16, 2025. At said hearing, any interested
person may appear and file objections thereto or to the cost of the improvements. The work to
be done is as follows:

Little Walnut Creek Drive Water Main Improvements including all labor, materials, and
equipment necessary for approximately 2,600 linear feet of 8-inch water main primarily

cleanup.
Little Walnut Creek Drive Water Main Improvements will be located along segments of NW
Prairie Rose Lane and Little Walnut Creek Drive.
In accordance with Iowa Code Sections 21.4(1)(b) and 21.8, this meeting of the Waukee City
Council will be conducted with two different options for public participation: 1) Members of the
public wishing to attend in person may do so in the Council Chambers at Waukee City Hall. 2)
