SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: This project includes all labor, materials, and equipment
necessary for the construction of approximately 363 linear feet of 12-inch water main primarily
directional bored in place, 44 linear feet of 8-inch water main trenched in place, valves, fittings,
connections to existing system, surface restoration and miscellaneous associated work, including
cleanup. The Warrior Lane Roundabout Water Main Connection Project is located along the west
and south legs of the roundabout located at the intersection of Ashworth Drive and South Warrior
Lane.
This project is in the approved FY 2026-2030 CIP with a budget of $200,000 in FY 2026. The
project has a completion date of May 31, 2026.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS, PROPOSED FORM OF CONTRACT
AND ESTIMATE OF COST FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE WARRIOR LANE ROUNDABOUT WATER
MAIN CONNECTION PROJECT FOR THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA.
The City Council of Waukee, Iowa, will hold a public hearing on the proposed Plans,
Specifications, Form of Contract and Estimate of Costs for the construction of the above
referenced public improvements at 5:30 p.m. on June 16, 2025. At said hearing, any interested
person may appear and file objections thereto or to the cost of the improvements. The work to
be done is as follows:

Construct Warrior Lane Roundabout Water Main Connection project including all labor,
materials, and equipment necessary for approximately 363 linear feet of 12-inch water

The Warrior Lane Roundabout Water Main Connection project is located within the roundabout
located at the intersection of Ashworth Drive and South Warrior Lane.
In accordance with Iowa Code Sections 21.4(1)(b) and 21.8, this meeting of the Waukee City
Council will be conducted with two different options for public participation: 1) Members of the
public wishing to attend in person may do so in the Council Chambers at Waukee City Hall. 2)
