AGENDA ITEM:Consideration of approval of a resolution approving the mayor’s
appointment of citizen members to the Library Board of Trustees for
three-year terms to end June 30, 2028

SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The terms for Anna Eichhorn and Melissa
Marwedel will expire on June 30, 2025.

RESOLUTION 2025-
APPROVING THE MAYOR’S APPOINTMENT OF CITIZEN MEMBERS TO
THE LIBRARY BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THREE-YEAR TERMS TO END
JUNE 30, 2028
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas County;
AND,
WHEREAS, each year the mayor must appoint or reappoint citizen members to those boards
which have appointments scheduled to expire or unexpired terms; AND,
WHEREAS, Mayor Courtney Clarke has made the following appointments to the Library Board
of Trustees:
______________ re/appointment 3-year term ending 06/30/2028
______________ re/appointment 3-year term ending 06/30/2028;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
7th day of July, 2025, that the mayor’s appointments to the Library Board of Trustees are hereby
approved.
