RESOLUTION 2025-238
APPROVING FY2026 FUNDING PURSUANT TO THE 28E AGREEMENT WITH THE
WAUKEE AREA HISTORICAL SOCIETY, INC.
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized Municipal
Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, the Waukee Area Historical Society, Inc ("Agency") is a private agency as defined
in Iowa Code Section 28E.2, and is a nonprofit corporation duly formed and existing pursuant to
the laws of the State of Iowa; AND,
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee ("City") is a public municipal corporation duly formed and
existing pursuant to the laws of the State of Iowa and is a public agency as defined in Iowa Code
Chapter 28E; AND,
WHEREAS, Iowa Code Chapter 28E authorizes public agencies to enter into agreements for
joint or cooperative action with public or private entities; AND,
WHEREAS, the City has an existing 28E agreement with the Agency establishing the
procedures and mechanisms for the administration of a fund to ensure cultural/arts programming
is available to residents within the City.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that a contribution in the amount of $4,000.00 be
made to the Waukee Area Historical Society, Inc. for fiscal year 2026 to be administered
pursuant to the 28E agreement with the Agency.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that payment shall be made upon receipt by the City of
Waukee of an invoice from the Waukee Area Historical Society, Inc., for the amount designated
herein and that the City shall pay the Provider no sooner than July 1, 2025.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee, Iowa, and approved this the 16th day of June,
2025.
