RESOLUTION 2025-264
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE SALARY ADJUSTMENT RECOMENDATION
CONCERNING THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, Brad Deets was appointed as the City Administrator, at will, for the City of Waukee on April
1, 2022; AND,
WHEREAS, the Personnel Committee conducted its annual performance evaluation of the City
Administrator; AND,
WHEREAS, the Personnel Committee reviewed the employment contract and the compensation packages
of those in comparable positions in the metro area and evaluated the demands of the Waukee City
Administrator's position in the City of Waukee and the City Administrator's performance in meeting the
demands of the position to date; AND,
WHEREAS, the Personnel Committee recommends that the City Administrator receive an annual salary
of $223,399 effective June 29, 2025; AND
WHEREAS, the Waukee City Council, having considered the challenges of the City Administrator's
position in a rapidly growing community, the City Administrator's performance to date, and the
compensation packages of comparable positions throughout the State, accepts and approves the salary
recommendation of the Personnel Committee concerning the City Administrator.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council that the salary
recommendation of the Personnel Committee should be and the same is hereby approved, that the City
Administrator shall receive an annual salary of $223,399 effective June 29, 2025.
Passed and approved by the City Council of the City of Waukee, Iowa, on this, the 7th day of July 2025.
