AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a temporary use permit for St. Boniface
Church of Waukee - Bonifest (1200 S. Warrior Lane)
FORMAT: Resolution
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: Staff has received a temporary use permit request for
an event at St. Boniface Church of Waukee located at 1200 S. Warrior
Lane. The permit includes temporary tents, live music, inflatables, and
food truck services. The Fire Department will inspect the temporary tents
once they have been erected.
The proposed temporary use permit is requested for September 27 –
September 29, 2025. The event is scheduled for September 28, 2025
from 11 AM to 5 PM.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:
COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT:
STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: City staff have reviewed the temporary use permit
application and are comfortable with the request.
RECOMMENDATION: Staff would recommend approval of the proposed resolution.

RESOLUTION 2025-
APPROVING TEMPORARY USE PERMIT REQUEST AT 1200 S WARRIOR LANE
[ST. BONIFACE CHURCH OF WAUKEE]
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized
Municipal Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, St. Boniface Church of Waukee is requesting approval of a temporary use
permit for an event on property located at 1200 S. Warrior Lane from September 27, 2025
through September 29, 2025.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session
this 15th day of September, 2025, that it hereby approves the temporary use permit for 1200 S.
Warrior Lane for September 27, 2025 – September 29, 2025.
