AGENDA ITEM: Public hearing on the annexation of consenting properties by the City of
Waukee, Iowa [J. Larson Homes, LLC] (Property A)
FORMAT: Public Hearing
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: Staff has received an application for annexation from J.
Larson Homes, LLC, to annex 80-acres of property located south of 300th
Street and west of T Avenue. The property owner anticipates developing the
property for future residential uses in the coming years.
Staff is recommending proceeding forward with the annexation of the
properties which includes a total of approximately 80-acres.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:

STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: The proposed annexation is consistent with future growth
parameters identified within the Waukee Comprehensive Plan and agreements
that are in place with adjoining municipalities.
RECOMMENDATION: Hold the Public Hearing
