STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Snyder & Associates has reviewed the public improvements
for Prairie Rose Trail Project and find it in substantial conformance with the project plans and
specifications.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the resolution.

RESOLUTION 2025-
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE PRAIRIE ROSE TRAIL
WHEREAS, on the 20th day of February, 2024, the Mayor and Clerk of the City of Waukee,
Iowa, entered into a construction contract with Absolute Group of Granger, IA, for the construction
of certain public improvements generally described as the Prairie Rose Trail; and
WHEREAS, the contractor has fully completed the construction of the public
improvements in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract and plans and
specifications, as shown by the certificate of the Engineer filed with the Clerk on October 29, 2025:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WAUKEE, STATE OF IOWA:
Section 1.That the report of the Engineer be and the same is hereby approved and adopted,
and the public improvements are hereby approved and accepted as having been fully completed in
accordance with the plans, specifications and form of contract and the total final construction cost
thereof is hereby determined to be $1,542,856.02, as shown in the report of the Engineer.

This is to certify that the construction improvements on the Prairie Rose Trail
project have been completed in substantial compliance with the plans and
specifications for the project. The final contract amount is $1,542,856.02. I hereby
recommend acceptance of the project.
